Today, McFarland Cascade is a diversified producer of wood products and has become one of America's largest manufacturers of pressure treated utility poles, cross arms, lumber and plywood. McFarland Cascade is  headquartered in the Port of Tacoma on a 43-acre site adjacent to Sea-Land Service, Inc.

McFarland Cascade serves customers located throughout the United States, Canada, the Far East, the Middle East, and the Pacific Rim. We take pride in our ability to serve customers throughout the world on a direct and timely basis.

To better serve our customer base of retail lumber yards, the company custom packages and distributes several lines of consumer oriented outdoor living products.

McFarland Cascade develops computer software packages which assist consumers in designing, estimating and constructing decks and other outdoor projects. These services, along with our treating production, have led to the sawn stock division being identified as "The Outdoor Projects People."

McFarland Cascade is a privately held corporation.

Export Capabilities

McFarland Cascade is certified by Zen-Mo-Ko-Ren to affix the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS) mark to pressure treated lumber for Japanese export.

McFarland Cascade is experienced in all aspects of export packaging, shipment, and documentation, enabling us to serve customers throughout the world.

Quality Control

McFarland Cascade:

• Maintains on-site laboratory facilities to ensure the highest level of quality is maintained at all times.
• Plays a leadership role in the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Wood Pole Committee.
• Participates as a member of the AWPA (American Wood Preservers' Association) Technical Committee.
• Has an approved JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard) facility.
• Operates in accordance with Rural Utility System WQC plant certification.

Production is inspected by independent agencies under the AWPB quality control program including ALSC.

Statistical quality control procedures are in place with many of the disciplines demonstrated in ISO 9000.
